Naugatuck, CT | blog.peteyphotography.com
This shoot has been about a month and a half in the making. We were able to find a time where everyone's schedules worked and I think we got some great shots from this shoot. I might post up one or two more from the other locations that we went to, if they'd like to be seen.
Anyway, I took a trip to Naugatuck, Connecticut to shoot this really great metal band, Eschaton. We hung out for the afternoon and got to hear them jam/record some of their new songs.
Had a great time, we found some pretty nice locations and could not have asked for any better weather. Definitely check out their myspace when you get the chance.

I almost, almost, almost called off this shoot yesterday. When I left home, it was absolutely down pouring and the weather report wasn't looking all that hopeful. I wasn't sure if I should make the drive only to be rained out.
I'm so glad I took the chance and hung out with these guys for the afternoon and evening. The first spot we went to was under this lil covering at a park. After that we headed back to their place, and helped them pack up their gear for the show.
On the way to the show, they told me they really liked this spot so we stopped and shot for about an hour or so. The rain stopped and the sun came out for a little bit. I think this location and background fit their name.
I've very glad I took the chance and the trip out there. It was a great time. Real chill guys.

Say Uncle
Webster, MA | blog.peteyphotography.com
This was my 2nd shoot from yesterday. Met up with this great local band, Say Uncle to shoot some promotional photos for them. We first tried a spot outside but it became to rain more than what we'd like so we moved inside this old, old, old textile mill.
For those outside of the NorthEast....Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island are completely littered with the reminisces of textile and button mills. It was all dark in on the third floor except for the modeling light like coming from the beauty dish. It's always a great time with these guys. Be sure to check 'em out.

Fate Kills The Hero
Storrs, CT | blog.peteyphotography.com
Fate Kills The Hero is stepping up their music and needed photos for their press kits. We met up today at the Uconn Campus and they were the ones that told me about this spot.
Right as we began to shoot, the sun went out and the clouds came in. I think it really helped to make this shot. They were a real chill band. Had a lot of fun hanging out with them today. It's nice to shoot in warmer weather as well.
Be sure to check out their Myspace and their music. I dig it a lot.

Messina
A local band from Woodstock, CT got in contact with me early last week. They've been around for a while but more recently, have gotten more serious about their music and band. We went out for a few hours to get some fresh photos:
Here's some footage from that shoot:

New car in town. 89 mustang with a bright yellow paint job. It's really clean. Here's some pics from yesterdays shoot.

Some real DRAMA
Alright, maybe not. Yesterday's clouds looked amazing so I couldn't pass up the chance to get a shot. I really like overcast days and the emotion that one is able to evoke from them.

I'm going to have my review of the Canon BG-E3 Vertical Battery Grip up within the day. Be sure to look out for that.
